Satire: Social Criticism
Satirical social criticism is the use of mockery, irony, magnification, and humor to point out the flaws in out politics, economics, society, and humanity.This branch of satire is effective in capturing the attention of the people because it exposes the weaknesses in out world through carefully crafted situations, dailogue, and imagery. Ultimately, exposure is the first step in sparking the desire to make a change. Satire takes very serious issues and makes fun of them for the sake of showing how these problems are ignored or poorly dealt within society. Saticial social criticism has always been and will always be a powerful tool for starting conversations and motivating the people.
